My Old Skool Love Songs

I got feedback on my blog...finally. And it was by way of Jonathan Kizer. Kesha told me that he was reading my blog and crackin' up. I was wondering what I wrote that was sooooo funny. Lots of people say that I am funny and at times I can see that. So people, keep reading and crackin' up! So what can I write about today? Let's talk about the change in my blog. I tried to change the music on my blog and now I don't have ANY music. I used to have "Dangerously in Love 2" but recently, I wanted "Cater 2 U" because that is my theme music for my future husband. Who that is is a mystery to both you and me. So I went to this website to get the music and when I put it on my blog, it didn't come up. Ain't that crazy??? I am really upset that I couldn't get any music on my blog, but I will not give up just yet. I am going to keep looking. Kesha and I were talking about music to play at our weddings. We were reminiscing also about the good 'ole days. We brought up some great songs. I found out that she used to LOVE R. Kelly's "12 Play" but didn't know the lyrics. When I sang the song to her, she was flippin' out 'cause she didn't know that Kelly was that nasty. Here are the lyrics:
One...we'll go to my room for fun
Two...and I'll say give me your tongue
Three...'cause tonight I'm gonna fulfill your fantasies, yeah
Four...lie down on the floor
Five...can not wait to cum inside
Six...anything that broken, I'll fix
Seven...spread your legs apart
Eight...feel me cum (or pump) so hard
Nine...see, I want you from behind, skip the bump and grind yeah
Ten...baby climb on top of me
Eleven...and up and down, (we'll go to sleep?)
Twelve...and that's when I'll go down on my knees, giving you some of my
12 Play
Only Kelly would write something so crude...and have every Christian in America loving that song. I must admit that "12 Play" is a favorite of mine. Even though the man is an abusive bi-sexual pedophile, he is still the Pied Piper of R&B. We also talked about Babyface's "Whip Appeal". I LOVE THAT SONG!!!! That song is so great. And another song is Guy's "Let's Chill". Those two songs are on my personal favorite list. I could listen to those songs all night long. I also love Hi-Five's "Never Should Have Let You Go". And I personally LOVE Donell Jones' "Knocks Me Off My Feet". I used to listen to that song back-to-back all day long. I used to get on Candace's nerves with my weird obsession with Nate Dogg's "Never Leave Me Alone". I would play that song ALL day back-to-back. I had the single and I killed the cassette tape. It disappeared and I never found it in the stores again. I would love to have that song on CD, tape or whatever. And everyone knows that I am a Prince fan. I love everything that Prince does because he is a musician. He plays (or has the ability to play) every instrument on his albums. My favorite song is "Purple Rain". I used to say that when I got older, I would play "Purple Rain" in my house all day. One day I was cleaning and I did it. I felt so grown and on my own. Remember Jodeci? I used to love all of their songs especially "Love U 4 Life". As I'm writing this entry, I am listening to some old skool music and Hi-Five's "Can't Wait Another Minute" came on and I am about to start crying cause this song takes me back. Apparently, I was in love with someone and this song reminds me of them, but I can't remember who it was. Was it Earl? I don't think so...it might have been love. You know how women fall in love with the concept of being in love. But this song will stop me in my tracks and make me stand in place, swaying back and forth singing the ENTIRE song. I can't even type for snapping my fingers and singing with my eyes closed. My friend, John-Dennis (or J.D.) has all of these songs on CD. I love going to his house 'cause he'll put them on and we'll just reminisce...at least I do and he looks at me like I'm crazy. Guess what is on right now? I am sitting here giggling and smiling so big....Keith Sweat's "Merry Go Round". This song takes me back! My cousin Pete used to sing this song all of the time just like Keith. Ohmigosh....I love me some Keith Sweat. Yeah, he used to whine and he couldn't sing but he had some exotic sex appeal. He kinda reminds me of Leon. Whoo! Another Kelly song I LOVE is "Trading My Life". I used to fantasize that Maurice would sing that song to me. That he would trade his life to be with me....I was young so don't tease! But now I just love the song. Another song that I love to hear is Whitney Houston's "All The Man I Need". It reminds me of a warm breezy summer night hanging out with Marty. Why Marty? I have no idea. Word association is so weird 'cause things become associated and attached to the weirdest things. But this isn't a Psychology Today entry but a music entry. New Edition's "Mr. Telephone Man" is on. I love this song but it wouldn't be on my personal favorite list. Bobby Brown's "Tenderoni" and "Rock Wit' Cha" are two of my favorite Bobby songs. They would also be on the bottom of my personal favorite list because I hear them alot so the magic has left but I love the songs. TLC's "Baby, Baby, Baby" is on the personal favorite list. It would be top 10 definitely. I love that song. I had just graduated from 8th grade when that song came on "The Box", or "The Jukebox". That station was the bomb! Remember New Edition's "Can You Stand The Rain?" I love that song. It makes me cry for some reason. I am having so much fun reminiscing about these songs right now. As you can see, it doesn't take much to get me excited...very low maintenance! What about Tony! Toni! Tone!? God, I remember them especially "Thinking Of You?" I loved that song 'cause it was an Al Green-ish song. I love Al Green! What about "Pretty Brown Eyes"? I don't remember the name of the group that made the song. Ohmigosh....New Edition's "I'm Still In Love With You".....all I can do is sit here with tears in my eyes with my arms in the air swaying back and forth. I'm going to buy this single right now! I actually stood up and twirled in circles with my arms outstretched, hopping like in the video. Then after that, "Iesha" from Another Bad Creation came on and I had to call Candace to get her to dance as well. Now she is telling me about this Singles' Conference in Alabama. I wish I could go to stuff like that but I am a college student. I am jealous that even if I went to stuff like that, no one would try to holla at me 'cause I am ugly! Just kidding...I just don't dress myself up to present myself presentable. Anyways, my free hour is up on the Jukebox so I am finished with this entry. Talk to you later.
