Woe is Me....I miss Chicago

Hey everybody! I want to give an update on some things that are on my mind. I just started chatting with a girl I went to high school with. Her name is Kellie. She informed me that she was married. She also gave me an update on another chick - Royal - who is also married. Hmmm......I already know that some other ones are married. Then I find out that two of my college friends are dating each other. We were all like a family and now they are together - Mark and Kahlea. I am so happy for them...for the record. I always knew he was going to go black . I am not envious but it does make me see my life as a step behind everyone. These people are college graduates working in the real world. They have families and responsibilities. I just feel like I am dysfunctional because I am still in college (which I view as high school). Many of my friends give me this upbeat inspirational speech without listening or understanding or being empathetic to what I am saying. I feel like everyone has just graduated from high school and I am stuck in the 12th grade. Can you understand that feeling? Well, that's what it is like. Now when these same married people begin complaining about their mundane lives, I then see the beauty of my simplistic life. I just wanna be done with this particular segment of my life. I wanna begin training for what I wanna do - clinical psych. I also wanna go back home to SWEET HOME CHICAGO! I miss Chicago so much. It is full of so much culture and my people. The Taste of Chicago, Blues Festival, Gospel Fest, Bud Biliken Parade, The Irish-green Chicago River, Downtown Chicago, The Water Tower, The Plaza (my fave place to shop!!!), Mena's (my fave place to get my hair did), The Dan Ryan Expressway, Giordano's Pizza (my fave is deep dish cheese pizza), Chicago style hotdogs, the mexican music blasting on every block, the authentic astada tacos, Leon's hot links, Lem's ribtips, The El, 79th Street, 73rd Street, The Manor, 87th Street, 47th Street, Dunkin' Donuts, River Oaks, Stoney Island, Indiana gas, Giovanni's (for the best darn comedy in the land) and so much more. I really miss being in an environment with culture and exciting things to do. The only exciting thing to do here is go to the $1.oo show. Now don't get me wrong, I loves me some $1.00 show, but I miss the options. And I miss chillin' with my family and friends. My bestest friend Tanisha is pregnant and I can't even see her to make fun of her big belly. Or to feel the baby kick. Even though I have felt enough stomachs to last a lifetime (remember...oldest of 8!) But I just have to remember only 4 more months! After the Spring semester is over, summer school will be a breeze. Alls I need is for someone to pay for these classes. I have been procrastinating in going to the financial aid department to find out what I must do to get these classes paid for. Now I know I hear a couple of people's thoughts saying that if I had managed my time wisely, I would be leaving in 6-weeks, but I didn't so leave me alone. Well, nothing else to say right now but good night all!
