Wedding and Reception, Pt. 1

Alright, I'm going to use this to document my progression with my "future" wedding and reception. After talking to Sister Brown, I feel liberated to say that I want to get married and I WILL get married. She prophesied that I would get married next year (2009) and it was confirmed that same day by Bishop when he prophesied that a lot of women would be getting married next year. So, praise the Lord! I need to work on some things before I get married. What, you may ask? I have to work on losing weight first of all. I mean, what kind of dress will I get to accentuate my best features all the while camouflaging my not-so-best features? Then I need to work on my credit. You can't get married with bad credit hanging over your head, now can you???? Then I need to have a game plan as to what I want my wedding to be like (along with the reception). So I will frequently update you on my progression on this.
I have decided that I want to have a Moroccan/Bollywood style reception. I want it to be a party w/ belly dancers, music and fun! Here is a picture of an idea of the decorations. Isn't that beautiful? I am so excited.

So now, I am looking up recipes for the reception. I don't want full course meals b/c that'll cost TOO much. So I was thinking of finger foods that are still fulfilling and not cliche-ish. You know, most people who do like appetizers and stuff always have the little chicken wings, swedish meatballs and various pastas. You know I don't like ordinary things so I was thinking of having small lamb bites (yum!) and other Moroccan foods. BRB....I just looked at Moroccan style dishes and I don't think that people would enjoy them (esp. Black people) so now I'm looking at Mediterranean dishes. I love the Mediterraneans! BRB....Just found a small food item. It's called an Arancini. It's a baked rice ball filled with meat sauce, cheese, peas or whatever you want in it. It sounds good and is a small item that people can grab and eat. So, we'll see whatever is affordable.

Now, my dress. I know that it will NOT be all white. I hate white. I want it to be sparkly and red. The style is still not known (see above for more information). And the groom is not known either. But I do have some prospects, so we'll see. TTYL.
