This is part two of the wedding/reception information....do you think I'm crazy by planning all of this w/o my groom picked out already?!? DON'T JUDGE ME!!!! LOL.
Anyways, I have been looking at foods and here's a list of the food I am looking into serving:
Bhel Puri
Tiki Chaat
Paani Puri
Papdi Chaat
Butter Chicken
Chicken Tikka Masala
Palak Paneer
Malai Kofta
Naan
Yakhni Pulao
Samosa
Bhajias
Kebabs
Vada Pav....just to name a few. What they are, I am still researching. I also have looked into invitations and found a way to save money on them. I will buy a few official ones and give them to people out of state or VIPs. Then I will give rangolis (rung-o-lee) out to people at church and
other commoners. They are special designed indian invitations. Here is an example of one. It looks so pretty, doesn't it? I am truly excited. I was wondering about where to have the reception and the school next door to the church cam to me. BUT.....I don't know. The gym is so big which would be hard to decorate. Then the parking over here sucks! So I said...we'll see. And I was thinking that as a party favor, I could dress each guest in an Indian wrap. What 'cha think? Do you think that's too expensive? And I still want the bellydancers! The ideas are flowing and if I get started now, I could buy some of this stuff and start making it now. And even if I don't get married, this could be for my graduation or birthday party. I just want to throw this. And I have another idea for another theme party (maybe for 1st year anniversary)....MOULIN ROUGE! Who doesn't like Moulin Rouge?!? Anyways, that's all I got for now.
